I am relatively new to Yotatech. This place is full of good info. Right now I live in Georgia, but am moving to Montana in about a week.
Here is my '93, 3.0, 5-speed before I took it apart to fix some stuff before taking it on the 1800 mile trip to Montana. It has 220K and has pretty much been to hell and back. The frame has been straightened after being t-boned a couple of years ago, and it has a shotty paint job that doesn't really match on the passenger side. The alignment hasn't been right since the accident, and I can't keep CV boots on it. I love every piece of it, though.
It has some Downey torsion bars and a Total Chaos idler arm (which was stupid expensive). I am running 33s on some old, chrome/rust plated 15x8

Thanks, Nickels. Did you buy the lift from Downey, or did you piece it together yourself? I know Downey used to sell an ifs lift with some Rancho parts, but that was before they started using the Porsche axles. I've been eye-balling that Downey lift for a while. Are you happy with yours?

When i bought the truck, it came with the Rancho arms, steering components, and TC idler arm, and i was told all i needed was shock loops, torsion bars, and rear shackles. I dont have a crossmember drop, and im thinking thats why it rides a little bouncy, and doesnt flex much. But all in all, yea i like it.

Your ball joints may be holding you back on the flex. Have you checked out Downey's website? They sell a lift now with their own custom A-arms, but the only other difference from what you have is their 'mega travel' ball joints. they claim their lift to have 12"-13" of wheel travel. their ball joints are about $90 a piece...may be worth checking out for you.
Nice rig, though. That is pretty much the exact setup I'd like for mine to turn into. I am about to go to work in Montana with Americorps for a year, though, and that won't pay enough for me to do anything other than maintenance on my truck. So, I will have to wait until I get a real job.
Thanks for the information.

Mine as it stands now...15x8 black steelies waiting for 35's or 33's not sure which yet, lockright locker waiting for install in the rear axle, electric fan install in the works (waiting for all the info on controllers before I purchase) but I have the Taurus fan waiting in the garage...still well under construction. As it sits, it has the OME901's that gave a 3" lift in the rear from the sagging stock coils...waiting on the money for the B/L (2")...BJ spacers 1.5", Bilsteins at all four corners but soon to be ditched for long travel rough country's that should be here any day now.
This thing was a wreck when I got it, alot of the damage was more than skin deep...none of the electrical worked at all...it didn't even run when I picked it up...sorry it's so long.

I hate lonely by-my-self mudding...well, I don't hate it, but I still wish I had more friends who have trucks. Actually, Only two of my friends even have their license. They all spent the 400 bucks to take drivers ed so they could get a license at 17, but then for some reason theyve decided they would rather have tea and biscuits and chat amongst themselves about politics than drive.

Not as nice as cream tea and Scones.
