Those X-Runners (that's what those "lowered" Tacos are) come like that from factory.

Comes with the factory lip kit, 18in wheels, tuned "sport suspension", rear X-brace, believe its lowered 1-2in from factory, V6, 6spd manual...there's plenty more but can't really think of it right now...lol!

So does it go as fast as it looks or is it like a typical v6 Yota?

nothing different other than the suspension and rear x brace which makes it so you cant add a trailer hitch. driven a few 6 speed 4x4 taco and the xrunner. both drove the same imo as far as straight away redline shifts. handling. the xrunner is better of course

Owned both as well, find the X-Runner faster.

URD truce cold air intake, URD MAF calibrator, URD 3" full-catback exhaust, and Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers here.

Give you an idea, what an XR looks like. Here's its lowered 2", and blacked out emblems. I'll try to get some recent pics of mine soon.

only because of gearing

X Runner 3.15 Final Drive ratio
V6 PreRunner / 4X4 3.73 Final Drive ratio

I could never limit myself with something like that. My truck is great for a daily driver, performs perfectly in the snow, and at a moment's notice I can load up the fam and head up into the mountains.

Shouldnt the 4x4 with the lower final drive be quicker off the line?

true but the 4x4 carries more weight and you dont find to many in 6 speed. the x runner on comes in 6 speed manual. i guess the 6 speed is also geared better than the auto
