thanks mann!! when i tear it down to re-build it, i was thinking about making a thread, almost like a step-by-step. its actually very basic, simple cuts and mesurements. nothing fancy at all.

Just got done installing TJ coils in the rear of my pickup:

I didn't have ass sag or anything previous to the coils. I gained about 2 inches of lift in the rear. i'm getting BJ spacers to even it out.

Yep, its the no weld ZUK mod. I bought the springs off ebay for 30$ shipped.
They came out of a 1999 Jeep Wrangler. I had to cut a little off the end of the springs to fit just right tho.

I haven't really driven it a whole lot yet. I took it for a ride down my road(which is incredibly bumpy) and it rode really nice...kinda like a wrangler haha. I like the way it feels. I will let ya know after i drive it some more.

So, in theory, if I did BJ spacers and uncranked the torsion bars I probably wouldn't see much lift? Only thing I'd see is more suspension travel, right? Personally, I'd be much happier with a 2" body lift and a diff drop so loosen up the torsion bars. Also, is there a way to tell how much angle is too much angle on the CV axles?

edit: here's another picture to stay on topic

Post some more pictures, that thing is sweet!

they're 35x12.50's, they are called "trail mark" so im guessing some cheapo knock-offs. they came with the truck LOL

so far im runnin stock with no lift, rubs pretty bad in turns, but i got used to not turning as sharp, i'll probably end up trimming the fenders anyway, just to get rid of the rot

they rubbed alot worse when i got them, but trimming the valance and cutting off the bumper brackets helped big time!

EDIT: the pass. side rear tire is a Goodyear MT, the p/o said he was having trouble keeping the trail mark inflated so he got the goodyear from the junkyard

I'm thinking about painting my rims dark grey (darker than my rig) or black. Thoughts? Or should I leave them chrome? They are currently the only things chrome, along with the TOYOTA on the grill, "SR5", "TOYOTA" "(toyota symbol)" and "4runner" on the tailgate and the CB antenna mount.

Hey toyota4x4 your rig looks sweet the way it is but it maybe try messing round with the photo on photobucket to see what it may look like with darker rims before you go through with painting them
