My new 85 project

Tried my best to adapt to a 2nd gen 4runner but had to go back to 1st gen, and might as well go 85 w/ a solid front

True but not totally accurate....... More like 1st gen 4Runner > 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th

I got my (New To Me) Toy few days ago ... Has a miss running horrible its the 3.0 V6 (got it pretty cheap) ..

So drove it for a few days the put it in the shop .. Quick Pressure test and 2 cylinders showing low compression, "Off with her head"'s

Heads Pulled and on the table .... will be sending to the machine shop on Monday!!! DOH!!!

Lifted both heads off with the cross over attached so would not have to futz with trying to take them off.

Hope every thing goes well Hate to see my new baby this way...

New to the forum but have been lurking.. for a while now.. Not new to Toy's though but this is my first Truck have been waiting for this for almost 20 years now... lol

went wheelin' (for the first time) today. i went with one of my friends who always wants to go off road in the truck. trails are hard to come by out here, so i was happy to find gw national park had off road trails. the one that was open was supposed to be a straight shot through, but without a locker, tires, or gears, i couldn't make it up one point. upon turning around, i managed to hit all 3 bumper lights. but still a fun trail for a semi-stock truck

we were greeted by this sign

i know! where i had to stop was a cross between ice and hard packed snow. bigger tires with beefy tread might have helped, but what i was desperately wanting was a locker or two
