Pictures of my daily ride at the moment. Bought this for my youngest son to drive last spring, he has left for the army, so it goes back to me. It sat all winter, but I have it running now.

Not much for off road, but if you saw my driveway after a ran you would understand why everything we own is 4x4, expect the John Deere and the Harley...

1986 Toyota 4x4, auto trans, carb, 22R engine.
Home built flat bed.

Don't think I've posted any pics of my trucks but here is my old canadian 4runner. I just bought a 93 4cyl but haven't posted any pics of it yet. Still trying to get her ready for a big road trip to my place of birth in Ventura, Ca.

94yota; I personally , if not going to crawl with it, leave in that tranny, and get another like it or rebuild. with those babies properly tuned, and the 2wd, they are notorious for getting over 25 mpg all the time!!!! Very schwing...
I would look for a tranny shop, that is known for not only rebuilding trannies, but stocks all the parts, that should be a good shop. there are 2 here in houston, and I went to one that still stocks trannie parts for cars going back to the 1940's!!!! and they are also known for still doing standards;most nowadays just do automatics. My cost with towing was 700 bucks... included 2 tows.

To Se7enine; is that a stock air intake tube, or did you make that?

To my knowledge it's stock. I haven't changed it but it's different than my 86 4Runner intake tube.

thats definitely the stock tubing. Dont see why you would think it isn't

Its probably different from the '86 because '89 and older 4runners had the turned down throttle body.
