Thanks. I did it because the lower part was all mangled from rocks. I wanted most of it gone without removing it completely, I tried that and didn't care for the look much (mainly the bumper and turn signals). Just took a razor knife to it.

Yeah i agree that the bumper looks really goofy w/o something underneath, which is why I dont wanna remove mine

I was thinking about the same thing...another set of lights either in the blank spots on the sides of the valence or replacing the turn signals with some narrow driving lights.

Don't know what 1st gen 4runner valance is supposed to look like, but mine was this way when I got it. It's custom because of all the dents and missing corner pieces.

The only reason I cut mine was the PO dented both sides. Now with the 33's, I think it gives it a better look.

That looks pretty darn good I might say...

and just curious, what all equipment does your truck have?

Its sr5, with a sunroof, but what else do you have?

Took a couple days to take this big rusty rectangle of of scrape steel grating, to finally see what was going to come of it. It seems to be a theme with my projects....The fact that I always know kind of what area of the vehicle I am doing it for but never have any specifics hammered out, but the project always just evolves and takes shape after every cut. I just have to make cuts and then I will figure out what exactly is going to happen.

Sr5, sunroof, chrome package, power everything.
My mods include:
Ball Joint Spacers
Home brew rear springs
U-Bolt flip kit
33x12.50 Muds
Custom sliders
cheap aircraft lights
Garmin GPS
Uniden CB & modified K40 antennae
a few dings here and there and probably a few other things I have forgotten about.

Here's mine... Bought a new valence, then cut some holes for foglights, welded the foglight brackets on the back, then had it painted...
