Piston Ring position

I am doing a rebuild. I have an 88 4runner 3.0 v6. I need to know what the Piston Ring Positions are. Can anyone help?

if you have to ask this question you should not be doing a rebuild

Not necessarily. This would have to be looked up if you had never rebuilt a 22re before. I have rebuilt three and I dont know what the ring spacing is off the top of my head. They have instructions for a reason. Not all engines have the same ring placements.

Now if his question had been what is a piston, or what is a piston ring.... well then you would be correct.

I think he is mainly interested in the gap spacing anyways.
