Oxygen Sensor Replacement
I have a 87 Toyota Pickup 22R-E and i need to replace the O2 sensor. I went to the parts store and bought a new one. The old connector runs 4 wires and the new connection only has one wire and the wire harnesses don't match up.. what do i do? can i just splice the new wire into one of the existing wires?

Do not start splicing....you do not have the correct replacement sensor. You need the correct DENSO sensor. Our rigs do not play nice with Bosch and other brand sensors.
The sensor changed to a 4 wire in '87 around August or so.

DENSO 234-4152
Amazon is a good source with a good price if you can't find one locally.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_sc...sensor+2344152
The dealer will be abount 2x as expensive.
Another source for DENSO:
