opinions on motor swap

thanks gravehunter for the reassurance...i want to do it just dont know how difficult it will be you know....350 in an s10 is like spreading butter...especially since its fueled by a carb so its only 6 wires that run the motor.

depends on what year 350...you prob had 88-95 junk tbi...if you get the 70 lt1 its a 370hp factory motor came in 70 ss split bumper camaros...of course it was detuned to 330 in 71 but thats still not bad...my motor in my s10 is a gm goodwrench crate 350 that is the 300hp, but the truck weighs 2700 pounds and has no weight over the rear tires so it can fry them all day long

actuall it is 31hp and 40ft.lbs less...and thats not too bad figuring i didnt buy one too go fast....bought one because i needed a daily driver is reliable and go anywhere without breaking parts like my dodge did.

yeah that would be sick...put dual exhaust on it with some super 40 flowmasters and have people looking at you funny sitting at red lights and when your crusin haha....get it all the time in my little pickup..

some dude was lookin at me laughing at a red light because my truck is mellow at idle...have a 2in cowl hood so he prob thought i was some douche with a cowl hood on a stock s10...plus he was in his riced out tibiron...needless to say when i tromped on it and passed him while filling his car with the smell of rubber....he didnt even look at me at the next light hahaha

Fillsrunner has done both swaps. It all depends on how much you want to spend and if you want to keep it all Yota. I'm doing a 3.4 in one of my 4runners and going to put a 4.0L Lexus V8 in my other one. The 3.4 mechanically is very easy only hard part is the wiring. Bellhousing match form the 3.0 to the 3.4.
