That would be too much trouble, I will be swapping 4.88 thirds in the next few weeks depending on what I can find used. When I go to install I will put in an extended one on the front

maybe they make it so tight because its made by small orphans with tiny malnurished fingers .... or at least thats what I usually end up thinking when my arm is somehow bent at an impossible angle and i cant feel my fingers let alone finger tighten a stupid metric bolt... ARRGG ...

Olharleyman I was just thinking that with that hose just sitting up there by the side of the engine you might want to put one of those one-way valve things on it to stop junk/water from getting into the hose/breather...
just a thought...

An inline fuel filter works perfectly for the end of the hose to keep crap out. Find one with the right size hose nipple on it. I just bought a cheap plastic one for $4.

Hahah!!

Here is a pic of how I ended my breather air can get through but bugs and dirt cannot, and since I wrapped it around, there would have to be alot of water in there to get into the diff.

Haha!! My diff was leaking pretty bad before I did the mod, turns out the breather was plugged SOLID with some kind of gunky brownish crap. I got it all unplugged using a screwdriver, and after going to work this morning I saw no leaks! I guess I can hold off changing the seal untill I regear
