Any luck yet? If you were closer to DFW i have a 94 4runner that I'm about to do a V8 swap on and have all the donor parts you would need. hope you figure it out soon.

Dont just go buy a junkyard unit, and toss it in, expecting any different results... Make sure you test the new one before you buy it... I have had so many junkyard parts not work out for me... Hence..the reason the rig was in the junkyard to begin with....

Thanks bagged, appreciate the thought. And 87 yeah i cant get a break with this thing. I have had one problem after another. About the time i start trusting it 100% again it breaks down. I'm tempted to buy a wiring harness and just put a whole new main harness on it. It has to be something electrical because the injectors aren't firing. I want to get another ecm just to be sure that thats not it. Bagged when do you start your swap?

well im about to pick it up again tomorrow. All he did was clean the ECU connectors and a few tries later it started. Im not to confident in that being the whole problem but there is nothing to fix if its running.

I hope to start in the next few weeks! Going to do the SAS first, found a complete front end off a 85 pu w/ manual hubs. Have to rebuild it also but I have no dead line on the runner. So did you figure out it was all in the wiring harness?

Bagged. That sas is going to be sweet! Not sure on thew harness, its at the dealer again and its randomly running again but I dont want to pick it up and it die again, so I gotta start putting some pressure on them because they arent doing much with it now and for some reason wont get the oscilloscope in.
and blue the tech ran direct wires from the distributor to the ECU and apparently it didnt help. Im kinda at a lose with it. Il keep yall posted though with updates

that sucks man, how about looking for a truck and pulling the harness, and replacing it, sounds like thats where ur at. i kind of had a problem like this but with a motorcycle and it ended being a short in the harness and after i replaced it ran like a champ... i know its a big job but im thinking thats where u might be.

I could do it and I want to get a donor t100 and do a 3.4 swap but if things with the dealer dont work out then I probably will do either the harness or the swap.
