I ordered my tires and rims on wednesday and got them today, i ordered a set of goodyear mtr`s 37x12.50-15 and four black american racing steel rims in 15x10, so tomorrow when i get done rebuilding my front axle (new bearings seals and chromolly inner shafts) i will be putting them on, i can`t wait to see how its going to look. and like i said before, nothin but money. (and now im broke) but its worth it and im having fun building my 4Runner.

You must not work in the auto industry (like myself). You can buy a lot of Kraft Dinner for 3k.

Are you having a bad day or something ?,

I have chromolly inner shafts and they will be just fine for now, i know a few people that are running 37`s with stock birfs and they arn`t having any problems, and they do alot of wheeling on the rubicon.

Well I may be on the nandy-pandy side, I don't intend to hammer my truck but I know the places where I wheel and would rather not change a birf on the side of a trail, much less in deep snow. Afterall the reason birfs break like they have a tendancy to is that it was designed to be the weak link. A truck can still be driven after a birf breaks, read that on 4x4wire.com I think. I got a set of older 27's not as strong as 30's but I'll take a chance on them.

Exactly, i won`t be doing any hard core wheeling or rock crawling so im not worried about breaking a birf, if i was into hard core wheeling then i would definatly buy longfields, i would be stupid not to. I still might buy them in the future though.

I would advise pulling the birf if you do break it on the trail. Ive heard a broken one can destroy the inside of the housing or bind your steering.
