New Steering Knuckle for my 93 4x4 AISIN Hubs
Hi All. Long time user of the forums, first time poster. Hopefully this isnt too much of a newbie question i'm about to ask....
I'm rebuilding the IFS suspension on my 1993 Truck MT 4X4 with the Manual locking AISIN Hubs and everything except the frames really rusted and crunchy. My big problem now is my drivers side steering knuckle. I tried for a long time to remove the LBJ but had no success. Seeing as all the seals were no good and the brake dust shield was rusted away, i opted for a new (to me) one from my local yard.
Just picked it up today and something doesn't seem right. the backend of the spindle portion tracks are a little different and there are splines in the part where the axle is inserted. It also looks like this is not a manual hub either. I posted a few pictures below. FYI the "new" knuckle is from a 1996 T100, which the yard said its the same part and I guess i don't know enough if it will work. Can anyone help me out before i try to put this puzzle back together ?

No, should not cause a problem, but if it were me I would be replacing them with new ones in both knuckles. Those are known as the steering knuckle bushings. There are 2 per knuckle, inner & outer for a total of 4. There is also another setup that uses needle bearings on the inner ones along with a shorter inner bushing. So in that case you would have inner bushing, needle bearing, and outer bushing per side.

They knock out easily with a punch or can be pulled out also. New ones can be tapped in with a piece of wood & hammer/mallet, or use one of the old bushings flange side to flange side & a hammer/mallet, or pressed in if you have a press.
Good time to clean out all the old grease and put some new in there.
They look like below
