New clutch, now slips out of 4th gear??
Is there, would there be anything related to my clutch replacement? It is not popping out of gear when I am on the throttle, but, when I downshift. And the downshift is pre-mature with low rpm's. It just kinda makes a subtle exit from the gear. I have spoken with the mechanic and he is claiming no association. I don't know enough about the drivetrain to believe or not. He did indicate that the master cylinder for my clutch was adjusted too far out and the length of the bolt/rod needed to be shortened. I just recently replaced the master and slave cyclinder myself. This really sucks, I just spent 500+ bucks. Any suggestions, insight or ideas?

Please clarify what you mean when you say it pops out of gear when you downshift. Do you mean it pops out of gear when you're decelerating while in 4th gear? Do you mean When you're in 4th and you push the clutch pedal in it pops out? Do you mean once you've downshifted from 4th to 3rd it pops out?

are your synchos going out? how many miles on the tranny?

lol!! Thanks for your help. I thought I did answer your question. I also thought that I explained my question pretty well. It's when I downshift from 5th to 4th at low rpms. Or if I shift into 3rd from 4th pre-maturely (again note the low rpms). It will make a slow and subtle exit from 4th gear. It's not popping out of gear while I'm on the throttle (yet). I also added info about the hydraulic system I just replaced to make sure it wasn't possibly associated.
The rod on the master cylinder where it attaches to the clutch pedal has an adjustment, I was told that it needed to be cut down to give my clutch (pedal) play to ensure that the clutch was being released completely. I had to adjust it out a little so there would be room to get the pin through. It was adjusted out and I felt comfortable where it was set. The mechanic that did my clutch informed me that it could be a potential problem futuristically. I understand the logic and I'm going to fix that. Could this be related to my issue? Could the mechanic have put something together incorrectly and caused this issue to arise? I'm fairly good mechanically, but, don't know much about the actuall cluth and it's relationship with the tranny.
There's only about 55,000 on a re-built tranny. It was doing the same thing except it was blowing out of 4th when I was on the throttle.

That right there may indicate an internal issue. In the mean time I'd suggest replacing the shifter seat bushings. Mine was crazy easy to "bump" out of gear since both of my bushings were shot, well one wasn't even there anymore. Even after the clutch replacement it was still rather easy to do. The bushings helped a ton.
