Need help on bj spacer ASAP!!!
Ok. So I need some help ASAP I have a 2 1/2 ball joint spacer on my truck and I do know that they are manly only for increased travel but any ways I torqued the torsion bars to lift it a little (1 1/2 in ) and I have seen this done before but now I'm on my 4th steering box and supposedly that's because their is a force pushing the worm gear up and loosening the nut on the top and causing the box to leak really badly any one with a ball joint spacer have this problem? I really need help on this I have not been able to find any answers on this at all.

Initially when ball joint spacers came out, they were only available in 1.5". Then people started making 2 1/2 and 3", which is absolutely ridiculous. I'd say your problem is you're using way to big of a spacer and should stick to whats been proven to work. ( 1.5" )

BJ spacers, and relaxed coils for 1.25" lift is the max you should EVER go with the stock IFS. relax your torsion bars!!!! I have 37s and I haven't worn anything out because I only run 1" over stock with the BJ spacers

I've broken 2 CV joints on 33s. I cannot imagine what its like to have military 37s on those toothpicks. I have 37s on my SAS'd rig and sometimes I worry about my stock birfs. lol

Ok so I went over and dropped the front of the truck so they could try to see if that helped the steering box and I got my truck back with 1 inch lift in the front and 4.5 in the back. The front shakes immediately after 35 mph when I let of the gas or put the clutch in. And I think I can feel that at even lower speeds!!! On top of it leaking again. What is going on with this can it be possible that I have had 3 bad gear boxes?? Has any one found a HD replacement? Please help this is going to drive me crazy!

we really need more information from you to give proper input. please get us pics of the rig showing your IFS as best you can, especially pics showing how your steering is setup. use photobucket or similar hosting site post the pics.
first off, just to assign a height to your current lift -- what is your distance between center of f/r axles to the bottom of your fender lips? this will give a better idea of how the geometry of your steering is so we know how tall your rig actually is. stock is somewhere around 20" I think i could be wrong (example: my truck is at 22.5" with a 1.5" bj spacer/tbar crank up front, OME leafs in back)
my assumption is that you have too steep of angles in your steering geometry from too much lift up front (without relocation brackets) and thus the problem has arisen. there is a limit to how tall you can go on IFS before you start needing some of the components included in some of the 4" bracket lifts (items like new cast steering knuckles or steering relocation brackets).
also, what size tires are on this rig that you need so much lift?

I'll try and get some picks of the truck tomorrow and measurements. It's not huge tires now it's more for clearance but will be getting bigger next round. they are 29's now but will go to 33+ in the future.

Here is front right from the front but the steering stop on the lower is gone? Don't know what happened there
Might be showing this one again but look at the steering stop bolt. They told me they have no idea why my steering radius was lengthened by 4 feet!! Hhe I can't imagine why??

I have replaced ball joints and all tie rods and ends the pitman arm was replaced with the gear box and the Idler is the not thingies have not touched..... The car was supposedly aligned with the drop because I had the shop do that and Aline it after words

You could easily cut your ball joint spacers to a 1.5" height and
go over everything again. Also get some Aisin locking hubs to
remove the CV shafts so as to isolate the wheels from the CV's.
Worth a try. Hang in there, with patience you'll figure it out.

I see a few things - front height looks good you're only around 20" which is like stock height in front. If you had a pic further back showing both sides if your ifs I'm sure we'll see your cv angles are very low which is good. I don't see your bj spacers, just curious to see what a larger than 1.5" one looks like.
My guess is you first need to eliminate slop from the equation. New suspension components would be good - all movable joints basically, and a fresh bearing repack and alignment. My guess is just there you will see improvement. Remember each time you play with tbars you'll technically need an alignment, which is why Firestone lifetime alignment pays for itself after the 2nd visit.

The front shold look good now because I lowered the torsion bars back to stock height and then had it alined but still shakes so I'm still at square one. I want to get the skyjacker lift kit and be just fix it. But can not find very many reviews so I have a couple questions
How do you like the kit
Was it hard to install
Was there any parts you had to get besides the kit
If using same tires will it be same amount of ground clearance under the lower control arms and between the lower control arms
Will this bring my steering where it needs to be once lifted or do I need to change steering parts
Am I getting the strongest kit for the money
