Lightbulb I love this Post!! Thanks!!!

Got pulled over the other night by highway patrol, who stated I was going 82 in a 65, and it was being caused by my lift and wrong size tires, (FYI-all factory 95 running 30x9.5's)!!

I'm gonna fight the ticket and so call b.s. and use this all as evidence.

Guy's, correct me if I'm wrong, but highway patrol, in this case a new(?) officer, aren't certified Toyota, suspension, tire experts.

So yeah, "MY TRUCKS NOT LIFTED EITHER!!!"

Moving on now...

I dunno if thats such a good idea. You might just wanna keep that as an excuse, so you can fight the ticket. Because, if yer truck is NOT lifted, or bigger tires, and you were doing 82 in a 65, yer not gonna have any excuse to why you were going that fast. I've been there( and it wasn't even my truck), and there is no judge that wont clear that ticket if you say you didn't know how fast you were going. Bottom line is that, just a lift with stock tire size will NOT affect your speed reading. That cop is an idiot. Good luck with that. And I'm not lifted either.

[QUOTE=mehret;50562313]I worked at a chain store here on the east coast (STS Tire and Auto), and we never had a problem doing lifted or lowered. QUOTE]

The only problem with a lowered truck would be getting it on the machine....like mine...lol you should have seen their faces when I tried to get it in the ramps. lol

The rear springs are definitely taller than the stock, but they are supposed to replace the stock.... No lift.

But yeah, I thought since it is a rear wheel drive, they have to align the rear. no?
Don't rely on discount tire for anything but tires!
Take it to a axle and frame shop as previously stated.

I would have thought that someone would have pointed out the fact that Discount Tire doesn't do wheel alignments.
