So called Yoda Jim in Denver, its a 2 hour drive from me, and will get a the front core support/dog house from them for $50! SCORE!! Local yard wanted over$150. Also asked about front axle price $350 and they can sell me some lift springs for the front and rear also. Told my wife and she said if it would be easier for me to do a SAS then try to fix the IFS go ahead!! I LOVE MY WIFE!!! Told her I could do it but have to do it in driveway. She said as we get the money I can get the parts!! HELL YEA!!! Wanted to do one on the Yota since I got it in 2003, so after 8 long years the new jounry begins!!! Really stoked about it. Got a buddy I went to college with, we both studied auto tech, who said he will help, He doesnt know alot about 4x4 but will help all he can. He is your basic run of the mill Tech, but a great Tech none the less. Were Im the 4x4 guy. Will be working a little on truck on my days off at my moms then hope to have it home soon. Cant wait to get up to Yoda Jims Yard. Just hope I find a axle with the same ratio I have now as my rear. Save on money to spend. Will update soon and update some more pics. Also, my sister is doing alot better, still few bruises but she is good. Thanks for all the well wishes guys. LATER, off to work

Yoda is home!! Father in law came down with his truck and trailer to haul it. Had to put 35s on rear to load it. Had a flat again so swapped off 2to of 31s off. Then the 35s are going flat after got it home off trailer but its home.

Those who have done a SAS swap what in all reality does it cost? I have the IFS calipers and can prob re-use the rotors too. Will prob get used lift springs from Yoda Jim and prob pick up some tires from him also, prob 33 maybe 35s. Not sure. and i will be doing all the work myself. I know how to weld and fabricate, also know a guy who was a welder for over 20 years who said he would help. As long as axle I find has same gearing as rear I wont touch that yet. Also will prob wait on hy steer kit too, maybe get for bday next year Really only thing I have to worry about is getting the front cross brace for the shackles. I can figure something for shocks. Might pull mounts off a F250/350, they make good replacement mounts. Help me out guys, need imput!!!

Good luck with your repair!!
I am glad your sister is ok . Does she have any idea how fast she was going ??
To have a bear slow here a little and still have enough speed . Did she snap off the pole or just push it enough to pull the wires loose?? Then hit a fence post.
I wonder how far the bear makes it talk about blunt force trauma!!
To bad your so far away I have a whole front clip for a 86 but the shipping would be a killer.

North- if you could send those measurements that would be great. Would help out alot.
Wyoming - she was doing bout 30mph she says. Was in residential area mile from her house. Wish u did live closer would be there quick to get clip lol. The poles in that area are older. It shattered. Wires were on road and truck. But no busted glass and a small dent in roof, maybe 1"on by 1/2" nothing major. Will be going over it tomorrow. We think lower control arms bent by ball joint bad.

Any that you have would be great. Mostly I know I will need to know about the spring mounts, Front and Rear. I know I need to figure out how to make or find a place that can make me the front spring mount piece. I see guys use what looks like 2x2 square stock. then make some front hangers. So any you have Northbend would be great and very helpful. Will be getting axle at prob Yoda Jim up in Denver CO. Will make sure I can get a 84-85 front. Can I reuse my IFS front caliper and rotor?
