My 4runner has got the shakes, the hippy hippy shakes.
Yeah...
Anyway, Saturday I took off my front driver side wheel so I could try to located the suspension squeak coming from that general area. Well, I put the tire back on, and the next time I drove it, my truck starts shaking pretty badly from 40mph-50mph WHILE I AM USING THE ACCELERATOR the second I push the clutch in, or let off the gas IT GOES AWAY --- Tracking? Tracking.
Anyway, I thought for a bit "Maybe I didn't get the wheel on straight" so I took it off, and put it back on. Same thing.
SO TODAY I take it to The Tire Faccctorrry. They himmed and hawed and rotated and balanced my tires. (And told me I need to replace that brake job they did 3 years ago and screwed up terribly, apparently, but didn't say anything until after the warranty was up)
Anyway, the rotating and balancing also did not cure the shakes.
Is there a cure for the shakes?
Any way, HOT POINTS:
1. Removed front driver side tire
2. Put it back on (TOUCHED NOTHING)
3. Vehicle now shakes from ~40-50mph WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS IN USE
4. IT DOES NOT SHAKE WHEN CLUTCH IS IN OR THE ACCELERATOR IS NOT PRESSED
5. I think that is all.
Here's a picture for you.

wheres the shake at steering wheel seat? and you should come see us boys at les schwab we do alot better job then tire factory also when it shakes does it go away after 30 to 40 mph or get worse? sometimes a low speed vibration can be caused by a tire seprating and not bve felt at high speeds but only low speeds.

Anyway.
It does go away after 50MPH. It happens from about 37mph-50mph.
If that were the case, wouldn't it still happen if I were just coasting at that speed? Because it doesn't happen if I am not applying throttle.
And what in the world do you mean by "wheres the shake at steering wheel seat?"

Well the shaking is one thing but having it go away when you push the clutch in...That's quite odd.
The shaking could be that the rim is not seated properly but it would shake with the clutch in or out...I would think. Do you have 1 hub locked??? Maybe the front d-shaft has bad a universal. That might do it...

lol I just meant a les schwab in general not my specific one and i mean when its shaking does the steering wheel shake/ vibrate or does the whole truck or just ur seat? And its hard to say with out me driving it what it would be I would suggest taking it to les schwab and tell them ur going to be a potential new customer theyll take good care of you.

u joint/universal all the same...the big knuckle looking thing that allows it to turn freely on different angles.
Here's an example of 1

You think if that were the problem it would stop when the clutch were pushed in or I let off the gas? I don't know much about how those work.

its something in the drive train.. first... are you in 4wd? second.. are your hubs locked?
Heres the next thing to do.. raise the rear end and put jack stands under the rear diff to hold it off the ground. Be sure to put something infront and behind the front tires to keep you from moving. Then with your rear tires off the ground... start the truck put it in gear and and bring it up to speed where you get the vibration and have someone look underneath your runner to see where its coming from. Drive line, differential.

Geez, after reading through it, do you have any play from your rear driveshaft coming out of your transfer case? I know you were having a screeching sound from the transmission.
And not sure you can talk me into "make Vitaly's baby" tomorrow. Just saying.
Nothing personal, Vitaly, nothing personal.
