Is MOOG now rebranded chinese junk?

Ball joints are soft
I did a complete suspension rebuild on my 2019 Nissan Versa SV Special Edition a few months ago. I replaced both inner & outer tie rod ends, those have held up thus far, but it's only been a few months. In addition, I also did both control arms that included the bushings & ball joints. Both bushings on both sides failed shortly after installation. Also, both side ball joints failed, and when I use the term failed I'm talking about them being on the verge of coming completely apart after only a few months. When I removed the control arms to install the replacement I took a few minutes to test the hardness of the steel, it was extremely soft, a single pass with a file left a very discernible drag groove.
So based on previous experience with Moog, I wrote it off as a rare occurrence and I ordered two more control arms and warrantied the other two. It's only been 1 month since they were installed and the right side has already started to exhibit the classic signs of wear out.
I will never buy Moog again, in the 50 years of doing suspension work, I have never experienced such poor QC with a hard part such as ball joints, never! Now all I can hope for is that the next warranty replacement will be at the hardness necessary for ball joints. If not I'm gonna swap everything out for a different manufacturer, definitely not OEM, but definitely not Moog either.
