I wired a LED to a momentary on switch under my hood so I can find my dipstick tube at night. Works great too! I've also got a vacuum gauge on my dash. Cool to look at but is totally unnecessary.

When I had my interior apart, I ran a 12v wire to the driver's side compartment by the tailgate. Put an RV 12v outlet on the wall of the compartment (inside fo unseen otherwise) and bought a 12v electric blanket for camping, as well as a 12v coffee maker.

well i was wiring up my cd player and couldnt get no sound to it jsut the lights.. and was in a hurry to get it in before work one day so i just wired it to an old fog light switch under my steering wheel which is hooked to the battery. no keys needed to listen to hank jr in my truck.
