It is possible, but real chrome plating is actually cheaper. And here in So-Cal it would be about $200.00 each to plate them. Personally I wouldn't invest even 25% of that in to these wheels ... I just don't like the look. I think I'll just buy an aftermarket set for summer, I keep these for winter.

Anyone by chance know where I can find a write-up on putting rock rings on 3rd gen wheels. I know calrockx has done it but I thought I saw a right up on that here but know I want to do it I cant find it.

I recenly sprayed my 7-spoke steelies with Krylon Silver Hammered Finish paint. It looked like the previous owner got it stuck in a gravel pit and spun the wheels. Stripped off much of the paint on 2 of the wheels. The result turned out pretty well, even if I DID do it myself.

Anyone by chance know where I can find a write-up on putting rock rings on 3rd gen wheels. I know calrockx has done it but I thought I saw a right up on that here but know I want to do it I cant find it.

i would just like to know how to put bead locks on ANY stock rims....do you have to drill/tap the riim for the bolts?
