Manual Transmission volume

Manual Transmission volume
Hey there guys, I have an 89 4runner with a 5spd and I am hoping to change out the manual transmission oil and diff oil. I have searched through my manuals and spent some time on the internet, and I can't find the volume of oil that I need to get. I see that the front and rear diff can use the same 80w90 that the transmission uses, so I was just going to change all the fluid at the same time. So what i am looking for is if anyone knows the aproximate volume of oil so I can buy it before hand, and also if anyone has any tips for me in doing this. Thanks

What engine do you have? Do you know the model of your tranny.
For your year, it's either 6.3 pints for a W-series transmission or 8.2 pints for a G-series transmission.
I looked it up here: http://www.amsoil.com/scripts/runisa...msoiloaf:index

THis is easy, Empty said trans, diffs and tranfercase if you have one.
refill with 80w90 (Some here like Amisol)
You know there full when... its a 1/4" from the fillerhole (use straw, allen wrench or you finger if it wont get stuck in the hole or fall in, To check the level) Or just fill it till it just starts to come out and put the plug in.
