manual hubs came with different clutch sizes?

I just did the whole ADD to manual swap and everything went well. Mostly.

The two clutches I received are slightly different. One is a little taller (if laid flat) than the other. Everything I read shows that they should be the same size right?

They bolt up great and everything fits, however I'm still spinning one CV. It won't even disengage on the bench. I can machine it down but would prefer not to.

1: is there a right and left?
2: does anyone know where I can buy 1 clutch?

I have the FSM but it doesn't show a part number for just the clutch. Thinking about heading over to Toyota on monday.

the word 'CLUTCH' throws people off, so see photo below

Always seen them as hub gears. Inner and outer (well at least on SFA) been years since I had IFS. But if memory serves they should both be the same, no left or right. Did you pull them from donor?

Sounds like he bought these Hubs in a box in pieces .

Maybe a do it yourself rebuild your hubs kit from a place in Alabama that will remain unnamed !!!

I would not call a hub gear a clutch either but Toyota has some different names.

I wouldn't call it a clutch either, but hey, the guy who's task it was to name the 25,000 parts probably got a little tired by the time he got to manual hubs and just went for it.

I didn't pull them, it was a parts kit I purchased off of ebay. Supposed to be for off of an IFS 4runner, so looks like I'll be requesting a partial refund.

When I pull it to grind it down I'll take a photo for reference. Thanks for the help guys.
