manual conversion questions
I may convert my 94 runner auto to standard and Im wondering if I need to chnge the ecu or will the auto ecu be ok without the auto? Also, will my auto shafts directly bolt on to the manual trans? thanks for any help.

Your driveshafts should be fine. They were the same when I converted my 91. The computer will be fine too. You will have to unplug your O/D OFF light because it will be flashing when the auto is gone.

definitely do a search for this. there was a guy who did a full writeup on it recently. haven't heard of anyone using a manual ecu, not sure why because it seems like it'd be much easier. when you use the auto ecu, there's several things you need to trick the auto ecu into thinking. for example, need it to think the cars in park/neutral to turn the motor over. on the writeup that i read, the drive shaft was fine; only extended it a few inches or so which is already built into the stock drive shaft.
