I am in agreement to everyone else that posted,
saying sell it and get a 4X2.....
To each his own yes....
But dude.....it's a 4x4.....
People stive to have those!!!
There ment to feel dirt under there carriage..
Everytime I go out and get it nice a dirty,
Mom turns to me and goes why did you do such a thing...
This is my Response to her...
It is a 4 wheel drive OFF-ROAD suv...
It's purpose, it's definition is to go off the road and get dirty,
not to look like a show car....
Sorry for the rant, just needed to voice my opinion.....

You could park behind this and wait until he backs up...
... that should get it pretty low, and it would be a quicker, less humiliating death than lowered with 20's.
Or maybe just do the right thing and get a 4x2 to go street with.

So, when you try to sell this, after making it undriveable, do you think you will get any money back? If you sell it now, before fubar-ing it\, you could get some real cash, and yes buy an already lowered 2wd, and walk away with money in your pocket. These lowered truck go for pennies on ebay casue they are very impractical.
Why not just modify the bosy and get 2wd fenders. THey are smaller and could cover the spaces.

All the 2wd 4runner I have seen are on the same setup as 4wd ones, with out a xcase and front axle, so he will still be in the same boat.
Here is the deal, its not gonna happen. Your front suspension cannot handle being that low all the time, your tires will outlast your BJ's, but youll be replacing both in the hundreds of miles. You will never get an alignment to work.
Your only real option is a custom front suspension.... or get a 2wd rig and have custom spindles made that provide x" of lowering. You could probally also take the front suspension off a 2wd pickup and put it on the runner. But in its current state you wont get it that low, its not able to go that low the suspension has bumpstops at a relativley high point.

No Toyota 4x4 deserves such a fate. It's like saying, "I'm thinking about lopping off the legs on my Rottweiler...anyone know the best way to do this?"
Ghetto up a different vehicle, buddy. This ain't the one. So help me God, if you do lower it, I'll find out where you live and come "rescue" it from you.
