Lots of Toys in my driveway
I bought another one today. 92 extracab 22RE, auto, really clean, 134,000 miles.
This one is going to replace the 90 extracab 4wd. I don't need 2 4wd trucks.

that's how mine looks but you're missing a lot of grime and the duct tape on the intake lol. Nice sparkly engine and not a bad truck at all. Nice runner tho

Thanks guys! I have never see a Toyota with an engine this clean. I found the truck on Craigslist this weekend.
The woman who owned it took it into a shop for a tuneup last summer and they found that the timing chain had worn through the timing cover.
The top end is completely rebuilt including the head being flycut, new timing chain and cover. She ended up paying $2400.00 to fix it.
It passed emissions yesterday with really good numbers. It drives really well. I did put some new stock size tires on it until I decide what wheels and tires I really want.
I paid $3200.00 for it plus another $300 for the tires. It has some small issues but nothing I can't fix.
My plans for it include 17 or 18 inch tires, antisway bars, KYB or Bilstein shocks, a nice sound system, a magnaflow cat and muffler, a midrange cam, open element intake and some 4runner or other nice bucket seats.
I want it to be a nice highway driver, looks like I've opened another bottomless money pit.
I am selling the 4wd extracab. It has been a great truck but it has no AC. I will really miss it, except in summer when it's 95 degrees outside.
I ordered a cover for the 60/40 until I find some buckets.
I Just put this Magnaflow 18" muffler and resonator on the 4runner last week, it's nice and quiet now. I like it much better than the 14 " ricer muffler I had before.

My wife will never let me sell the 4runner.
I was thinking about you and your new 4runner today, how are you liking it?
I just took this pic out my back door, top off for summer!

Speaking of the 4runner I am really enjoying it. I've got less than 1700$ into it so far (the stuff I pulled off the truck doesn't count as far as I'm concerned) and am trying to get it up to speed on a budget. The only things I really have left to do are lift it (I plan on going the same route you went), get a soft top, tube doors and some sliders and I'll wheel it until I can afford bigger tires. Of course then we re-gear again and drop in two lockers...... it never ends.
The one thing that is driving me nuts is now that I've gotten 90% of the mechanical stuff done the stupid clutch needs to be replaced. I'll be doing that next week.
I still need to come by and get that steering wheel from you and was going to call about it tomorrow morning but it turns out I'll be working. I'm not that upset since I can really use the money.
