LOTS OF RESISTANCE '90 SR5 (starter??)
1990 3.0 SR5 AUTOMATIC
Just got back to san jose from san diego, its roughly 400 miles and my a/t oil temp light came on twice. both times i stopped and checked the dipstick, topping it off and letting it cool down for a minute. I made it back home and when i woke up this morning, it felt like the starter had failed to disengage. It feels like im braking when i take my foot off the gas, thats how heavy the resistance is. There is a definite whine, (the tone matches my speed) from what i assume is the starter. It wont shift into 3 or 4, maybe because of the resistance but i did have an issue with hard shift points during the trip. Now im stranded in a suburb and cant get to work, did i also mention that i sleep in my truck?
SOMEBODY GIVE ME SOME GOOD NEWS, OR BETTER YET, GIVE ME A SOLUTION!
Thanks all
