i have a 1/2 breaker bar probably need something else for the 54mm

The 1/2 will be fine I just had to get a ton of leverage on of my breaker bar is like 2 feet log and I had to put a piece of 2" tubing on it to get more leverage

If your wheel is moving up and down that's probably ball joints. Side to side could be a loose axle nut (54mm) or tierod end. Your cv should have some play I believe. Do you have Locking hubs or auto?

Here's what I would say. Go get some parts and just replace it all of u just got it and yr making it nice to drive around all the time might as well get quality parts and just do them then u have receipts and know what's done and you'll learn how all those parts work that's what I did because I don't plan on getting rid of mine and not to mention I have a stock 2nd gen runner to that will need work someday

thats pretty much what im doing. i may sell it and look for a not so abused one thats about it. the frame is not rusted out but it has some really bad body damage where the windshield meets the driver side door. I was thinking about finding someone to just replace it with rebar or something.

When you take the hub apart there is 12mm bolt to take off just past that is a 54mm nut. It should be held on by a locking washer that'll have tabs that you can bend. If that nut is loose it can cause your side to side movement of the wheel.
