no, you do not have 8 speakers, 4 of them are in the doors acording to crutchfeild, do you see speakers in your doors? if so, you got a heck of a sound system to build, but most are just 4's up front and 5.25's in the rear. 6x9's have a little modding to do to get them in..

OK, here's what you need to do. First, read, read, and then read some more. Once you know what you want for a system then start checking E-bay, and local classifieds. Right now I'm running a competition system for under $350( I also hit 138db). If your anyway decent with fibreglass, make your own kick panels(mine took 3 days and I'm using a 6 1/2in. component set from MB Quart up front, $100 delivered from e-bay). I have a Clarion hi-end deck/w remote running everything($60 local classifieds), a Zapco 80 watt amp for the fronts($30 from local classifieds), and a Fosgate 250 watt amp(local classifieds $60) running 2 Kicker solo-baric subs( $50 for the pair on e-bay) and its all connected by Monster Cable wiring($20 e-bay).

PM me if you want pics, it also took me about 4 months to find everything.

Hope this helps

You can usually find decent deals if you look and you don't mind buying used gear.

to the original poster-
I don't know where you live, but if you have a factory 'outlet center' around you, kenwood and sony both operate outlets for discontinued products at many many 'outlet' centers. I picked up a good kenwood head unit, 10 disc changer, 250 watt amp, 2x10" subs and a box for 450 a couple of years ago.
