Locked up 3vze 92 pickup 3.0
So we did our head gasket, water pump, and timing belt. Ran it a bit. Went to go get gas, came back, put gas in, wouldn't start. Starter sounded like it was struggling to spin the engine. Put a socket on the crank shaft bolt and it was very difficult to spin. Eventually it locked up, minus very little play back n forth (maybe a few inches on the breaker bar) almost sounds like metal hitting on the bottom end.. haven't removed the oil pan to inspect yet... 😔 trying to stay positive as this has been a long job between family and work. Thinking it may be a good excuse for a 3.4 swap.. just wanted to keep her as original as possible and didn't want to lose all of that time and effort already put into the engine.. talk has been it may be a spun bearing.. guess we won't know for sure until the oil pan is removed..

Borrow a boroscope from the chain parts store and look inside each cylinder to see if something is hitting. Or pull the timing belt off and see if you can rotate engine
