Lights on but wont crank
I have a weird problem. A 94 Camry that wont crank. It used to start about every other time you turn the key. But now it just wont crank over. I have since replaced battery (w/ new). Had the starter checked out at shop. Replaced the starter relay. Cleaned some connections and still no crank. When I turn the key to start, the lights dim but no starter noice, not even clicking. UGH !
Any ideas ? I have a 4Runner so dont beat me up for posting a Camry ha ha, (Camry for sale, buying another 4Runner)

Auto or manual ??
A Starter relay should mean manual .
Clutch Safety switch or neutral safety ??
Bad ground connections !!
Corroded battery terminals on your new battery
Have you measured the voltage at the starter solenoid with the key in start position??

Still hunting
I dont have a way of checking voltage at starter but the wire connection from ignition is a little loose. I'll correct that and I also got shocked a couple of times by the door. Weird. I will be checking the ground wires tomorrow. Cleaned all the cable connections. Oh and its an automatic.

Because you can't reach it? Or because you don't have a multimeter? No excuse for the latter. http://www.harborfreight.com/7-funct...ter-90899.html
You have an electrical problem. It's diagnosed with a multimeter. You can tighten loose wires and grounding bolts, but it will only be luck if you bump into the actual problem.
