intermediate miss

89 yota pick-up with 22re engine. I can start it up and runs fine and drive several miles and runs fine but when I switch it off and then start it back up it has a miss.It doesnt do this everytime but when it does sometimes I can switch it off and start it back up and it will not have a miss. Today I put a new fuel filter on and drove a few miles and it started missing so when I got home I started pulling plug wires one at a time and when I pulled number 1 off the engine did not change as it did with the other 3. So i put a spark tester on and its getting fire to the plug.Oh I put new spark plugs in also. With it getting spark I guess now Im leaning to the number 1 injector.Any ideas what else I need to check before pulling the injector? thanks

before pulling the injectors, swap the injector connectors, ie, from #2 to #1 and #1 to #2. if the miss stays at #1, the injector is at least part of the problem. if the miss moves to #2, the wiring to that connector is an issue.
