I hate paying for insurance that will eventually go over your vehicle value. I hope insurance company will notice this and lower the cost to everyone... I got a cheap insurance co. from CA and I am paying only fourty-three dollars a month, half coverage. It also include a free fifteen miles towing... About four hundred dollars a year...

You post 3 account of ridiculous accidents in as many weeks all caused by overestimating your skill level then you are surprised that you are being quoted high rates? What gives?
You remind me of one lady I heard of through work who was paying $30 000/yr for her twenty-something son to drive (and crash) his BMW, mind you, at least she wasn't complaining about it.
I pay $160CAD a month ($130/mo USD) after 5 years, no claims.

you don't know much about that 2.3.
400 hp was little more than a cam and turbo mod away for the 2.3L. dollar for dollar the turbo 2.3 was easier to mod.
google up sierra cosworth RS (body-wise the similar to and the inspiration for the Merkur XR4-TI and Scorpio of the 80's/early 90's... and provided the inspiration for and functional theory of the 'dual' rear spoiler on the SVO Mustang).

Dang yall. For being way over-insured ($500k bodily injury, $500k property damage, $300k uninsured/underinsured bodily injury, $300k uninsured/underinsured property damage, $150k personal injury protection, $100k medical payment) for my 2 trucks (yota and dodge) and bike (cbr), I only pay $120.75 a month with USAA. Yall's prices are insane.

Cheap insurance is one of the perks of being older and having only a couple of tickets in the last 3 years and I'm paying $75/month full coverage with $250 deductibles.

Next time you get a quote, dont send your avatar pic with the request. Maybe your insurance agent is on yota tech and reads your posts?
I pay $160 a month for 3 cars, full coverage on 2 that are both newer then '05. Its cause your 18 dude. Keep a good record and stay with one company and you'll see it come down eventually.

I pay about 160 a month on my parents hartford plan. For being 17, it's not a bad rate at all. Taking drivers ed cost 400 bucks, but it saves me 200 bucks a year. And when setting up the plan, they asked me what kind of grades I get in school, that got me another 100 bucks or so off per year.

I insure my mother's car, my 4Runner, and a bike (vfr) and it's about $150/mo.

How does insurance work in the States? It seems that you insure one car full price then get massively discounted on the rest of the cars you insure. This makes more sense as you can only be driving on car at once most of the time (thought how you get a discount on your mothers car, I'm not sure). In BC, you have to buy at least some insurance from the gov. owned insurer ICBC. The quality of the insurance is good (ie: they don't go bankrupt and they're pretty fair), but its expensive and if you insure a second, third, ... 37th) car, there is no discount for pleasure driven vehicles. You also MUST buy liability coverage (minimum $200 000, but most every one buys at least a $1 000 000- I have $2 mil), the other coverage, you can buy from a private insurer.
In Europe, my understanding is that you buy insurance for the most expensive/ highest rate class, then you can transfer your insurance to other lower risk cars (ie: you can only drive one at once).

i pay 240 a month 5 monthly payments for a 6 month policy but that is full coverage on an F250 diesel liability on an motorcycle liability on the 89 toyota pickup and liability on the motor home. that is with a speeding ticket 1 accident (had an 5 speed jeep wrangler warming up in a parking lot and the parking break did not hold it rolled back into another vehicle and the spare tire hit the rear 1/4 panel) and an ticket for riding an motorcycle without an endorsement. my woman pays the insurance on the car she drives a 2003 ford focus no accidents or tickets and but only drives about 6000 miles a year and pays 400 every 6 months. we are both 23 been together sense 18 i keep telling her we need to get married so i can get a discount on my insurance and taxes...lol

Insurance is about statistics and statistically immature (under 25) male drivers have the most accidents and the most claims, so their rates are higher. Add 4WD on top of that and rates go up even more.
Put liability only on the play toy and full coverage on the daily driver. I have two boys 14 months apart and they will both have trail rigs (liability only) and cheap 2WD daily drivers.
I pay $150/month for full coverage on an 07 4Runner and 08 Tundra plus liability on 3 other Toyota 4WDs, but I'm an old and married.
