lol. That's exactly how I would describe it.
And it sounds like it was time to replace that cap! lol.

Once I nearly fried my nuts as I was leaning on the metal bumper. No pics o of that one, unless your name is Amber or something.

There's lots of dried blood all over the engine bay and suspension from smacked knuckles. I once got my finger stuck between the cut off wheel and the spark guard- that sucked, as it didn't stop for a couple seconds.

Most painful was spilling phosphoric acid (Rust Mort) all over an abrasion I had or smoking my head on the transfer case.

I have about 15 fresh deep gashes in my left hand and forearm, that are about 3 hours old, from doing that damn little U shaped by-pass hose in the back of the 3.slow tonight.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen anything more stupid than that whole damn coolant sensor block back there.

Damn you Toyotaaaaaa!!!!

But I'm psyched because now I get to drive it again, so that helps me forget the gashes.

fractured my hand working on my old truck when I was 16 and ful of piss. I was trying to install a new lifter pump and couldn't get the last bolt in. So, as I'm saying screw it and crawling out from under the truck, I hit my head on the transfercase, which sends me over the edge. As I stand up I hit the first thing I saw. Result, fractured hand. I also later placed 4 perfect dimples along top of the bed of that truck with my knuckles. That was kinda funny because a lot of ppl figured out that they were in fact knuckle imprints. I had a lot of anger in my youth

my dad accidentally lowered a SBC 350 onto my hand when we were installing it into my sisters 79 pick-up... not fun having your hand trapped between a 500 lb. motor and the motor mount...

Just a few cuts, nothing bad. When we were replacing the engine/tranny in my '92 Corolla the most common reply to "OUCH!!!" was "It'll grow back"

The worst thing I've done is zap my hootus while pulling spark plug wires looking for a miss, I was leaning against the fender at the time.

I've been wearing gloves for the last couple of years to try and keep my fingers on my hands while working on the rig.

I have so Many! But heres 2....

I was taking off the Disc Brake on my old KX125 dirt bike with an allenwrench and slipped, the disc was very sharp and ripped off all the skin on my fingers and knuckles, you could see the knuckle bones. Cleaned the wound, got some superglue to seal it wrapped my knuckles in duct tape and put a Mecanix glove on then went back to work.

I was ripping off the lower valence of my current pickup with a pair of wire cutters (it was smashed up). And at the end felt something warm and sticky and couldn't identify what it was at first then I realized that I was in fact bleeding over everything, my fingers were quite chewed up, I just didn't know it was happening.

Fried nuts and zapped hootus?
Dinner's served?

Only the half-inch scar on my left thumb is a car injury from when I was knocking a piston in and my wood block broke, back in '81.
I do have a severed tendon on my pinky finger, right hand. Not car related. That was one of the most painful things I've ever felt. I've broken it 3 times so far 'cause it sticks out straight.
Now I'm snooty when I drink my beer.

Was pulling the axles out of my sister's '90 Celica and it never occured to me to drain the tranny first, for some reason, so when I pulled the pass. side axle out, I got a face and mouth full of 75w90....you know how bad that stuff smells, try tasting it!!

Not really an injury, but it sucked and burned my eyes.
