i'm gonna start slow,

BUT i'm gonna have a lot of questions over the next couple of weeks....

starting with my first one, i've got a 94 pickup lifted on 33's...

any gas saving tips? other than... smaller tires...

and do u suggest intake, or just k&n air filter?

what kind of oil should i be letting this thing drink???

goat-with the nice cotton filter? mmm. tasty.

killer-most recomend 4.88 for 33's. wouldnt go much higher than that, possible 4.56, but from all the reviews 4.88 is the way to go.

i would say 4.88s too you might wann try to find a 94 pickup or 4runner with the factory 4.88s (v-6 auto SR5 but still check i dont think the all came with this)

EDIT: if your staying 31 dont change it, 31 was most likly the factory size if it was a sr5

Well at least when I hold it up to the light I can't see holes in it like my old K&N had. BTW if anyone wants a K&N drop in for a 3.0 airbox I'll sell it cheap lol.

my truck gets about the same if im drivin like a normal teen, or if my parents borrow it to drive places, or if i have to drive my parents or sisters. which is a difference of wot and half throttle. i may use gas faster, but i get there faster too.

lol. u do know that the reason they have oil on their filters is to catch all the particles that may make it through those holes, right? im pretty sure the whole point of the filter is to have easier air access with stuff to catch the junk.

take ur hand and put it in a huge pile of feathers, now take ur hand, get it wet, and put it in a smaller pile of feathers. which has more feathers on it? thats whats happeninng with the k&n.

edit- i get around 20 regardless

4wd! woo..!. i didn't realize how much of a diff a couple of inches makes with tires.. dang. guess i'm gonna get on that a lot sooner. i don't care when i'm cruisin around just randomly, but for ga this hwy i'm talking about is pretty flat(well for north ga) and it blows my mind how much it bogs down. but if you all say tires will help.. i'm gonna trust u on it.

Yeah I know about the oil catching the dirt, but in my personal 50,000 mile test too much dirt went through the filter (and yes it was oiled per instructions). To me the whole point of a filter is to filter dirt. If I had a K&N intake on my truck I'd ditch the filter and replace it with an Amsoil replacement. Amsoil makes a new nano fiber filter that has great test results.
