If you take it to a machine shop you might as well have larger valves installed and the head checked for being warped.
Since you havent blown a head gasket, I would think that the head is fine. but like you said, everyone has thier own opinion.

I am going to keep any eye on the smoke and do some research on the R and R.
Thanks

new t-stat, radiator flush and fill tomorrow.
I kind of want to replace the 235 BFGs with something larger, but that will kill my MPG, so I am going to start looking for 3rds with 4.88s.
A SAS is in the future, but time and money don't allow for it soon. I am thinking about bj spacers, new leaf pack, keeping the stock t-bars and going with 32s or narrow 33s.
The SR5 oils pressure sending unit came in (gauage swap) so that will be installed so I can have the oil pressure gauage working, replacing the rusted side window trim with new and I am taking it by my buddy's body shop to see if he can fix the rust on the rocker panel, rear quarter and a few other small spots.

I am now thinking about Herculining my fllor boards. They are in excellent shape, but the ease of clean-up and durability are making me think about going for it.
Might do it tomorrow....
