A friend of mine is bring me some shocks maybe Thursday for free.

awesome, glad it worked out for you!
make sure the free shocks are the right size! they can't bottom out or fully extend within the truck's current range of articulation (full droop-full compression.)
to measure just lift and lower the back tires somehow without the shocks installed and measure between the shock mounts.

Ok I'll measure tomorrow .He told me they were big shocks
