You're going to need a lot more help, start reading here: http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/front_end/
The part you removed is called an ADD flange, it uses the same gasket (paper) as a manual hub. You could use RTV too, but its harder to do trail repairs with the RTV for a gasket.

There are 2 threaded holes on the black thing with nothing in them. Find 2 bolts that fit, I think I used 2 of my hood bolts since I had it off anyways. Tighten the 2 bolts in the holes, alternate between them and you will see the black thing start to move. You don't need to loosen it too far. About 1/8" gap will be enough. Then simply remove the bolts again. The cone washers will fly off so watch your eyes. You might have to tap a couple but nothing difficult at all. There is no need for a torch or anything like that. I didn't even have to use penetrating spray.
Good luck,
Jason

I've successfully replaced the old CV joint and I am now in the process of putting things back together. I noticed the part in the picture with the 7 bolts around it has a cut in the rubber and I need to replace it. Anyone know what it's called?

did this really take you 8 months?
jk...
I honestly cannot remember the name for that thing, and I left it alone when I did my wheel bearings last. I believe it's more or less just a dust sheild, as the inner seal on the bearing hub assymbely is actually what keeps the grease from getting out, or water from getting in for that matter

Well I finally got the hub assembly back on there, and the 4Runner is back down on all four wheels. I have to torque the differential bolts before taking it for a little test drive. Next up: a) passenger side rotor replacement b) uninstalling the factory alarm (TVSS piece of crap).
