Linux, you have the worst luck....and I love it.
Keep the stories coming, and DEFINITELY let us know what you figure out with this issue, I am most intrigued.

Yeah, thanks

I haven't installed or messed with anything for at least 4 or 5 months. The only thing i can think of is that when i first got the truck i used some of the wire quick connectors instead of soldering my wires. I may just pull the whole dash and redo all of my added wire and fix all of my connections. Hopefully i can pull a fuse and use it for the time being.

may i recomend to just re-wire the horn (seperately and w/2 inline fuses).

should cost about 5bucks for the wire + fuses.
this can help you track down or remove a short.
it may just be in your steering wheel too.

rewire-ing everything will be a pita, but the stereo and horn should be fairly easy.

everytime i install anything (stereo/amp/air-horn etc) i always use

NEW wires
inline fuses
seperate leads into the battery. (stereo/amps for no-chance of buzzing)

sounds to me a clear case of either a wire come loose or a nick in the insulation to and around the blinker+horn.

perhaps a metal foreign particle is wedged inside your steering column.
hope
that
helps

BTW, i also hope your a fellow linux/unix (su-)user
