I like those...looks good.

Maybe take the one on the left and the light gray you have make the "nice" tan and not the scary baby flesh color you like so much. I think that'll look really good.

this one. for sure. maybe if i see it in the desert tan (again, not flesh), but it looks like the ultimate multi-purpose camo

oh, and from all the pics i posted on my rebuild, i already exceeded my limit. it's like $3 for unlimited (non-recurring, one month)

For Ian. Can't seem to get the dark brown to black yet on the cab.

Are you starting with tan and using the burn tool? You might find it hard to get all the way to black doing that.

pattern overlay and color overlay mostly using a satin layer to brighten darken as well. Actually layers are all original base layers, I do have a black color overlay layer on top of the original layer as well.

It's just going from dark to light colors isn't real easy. I might try a tan base layer with a pattern overlay layer on top of that.

IAN look into GIMP for linux. or look into getting photoshop to run under Wine.

The black and white urban camo will be cheap as I can use Black and White $1 rattle cans from Lowes. Shouldn't be too hard to blend into one another either. and with a few bucks in paint I can practice before laying it down on the truck.

i have gimp, but i don't like it. i guess i just haven't played around with it long enough. i'll try some stuff out later with it.

and i didn't even think of wine. duh!

you gonna use a flat finish for the camo?

My vote is for the urban right now but I think the desert has the potential to look better than the urban even though it seems like it'd be out of place in PA.

Ian, The GIMP is just not on the same level as Photoshop, while you should be able to do most of what's been done in this thread in The GIMP, WINE or Cedega + Photoshop is far superior but it does run a little slower and sometimes WINE gets confused and poops itself.

Tan this one up and I think you'll be good. Take the lightest color and make it tan. Keep the other colors the same.
