Help! I've got an oil leak!

My Yota has a slow oil leak. Any ideas as to the cause? How do I find where? Thanks.

Where is the oil puddling? Valve cover gaskets, rear main seal, are good bets. Everyone probably needs a bit more information to help.

x 2.
Run your engine up to operating temp, and soak it down in degreaser and let it sit about 10-15 mins and hose it off, and see where you see oil first over the next couple of days.

if your truck is so equipped with one, check your oil cooler...looks to me like that seems to be a pretty frequent area where we get leaks. this all depending on if your engine is a 3vze or not, that i was just assuming.

Mine were valve cover gaskets, leaking down the back of the engine

My oil leaks were from the two most hated parts... Timing cover gasket, and oil pan gasket. Definitely a PITA.
