Tc, if I score this 4:30 e-locker, I just may have to hit you up for your skills at HOW haha. What's a fair price for 4:30 ring & pinion? I heard Downey sells a nice precision set, for like $200?

$180-200 is pretty typical for a well known brand such as Precision, Yukon, Motive, Richmond. It seems like the favorite gears change every couple of years. If you get a house brand (trailgear, PORC etc.) $135 is more like it but you get whatever comes in the box, though they may be a perfectly good gear. You just don't know. I'm more worried about you just FINDING a 4.30 gear at a retail place. All my usual suspects didn't have any listed, but also I didn't ask either. They might be able to get them but just don't have enough call for them to stock them. If you can get a branded 4.30 for $200ish retail, I'd just go ahead and do it. BTW when I googled "toyota 4.30" I got a Rhode Island craigslist ifs diff with 4.30's for $150.
