Don't forget that there is ways to open up your air intake and that could help too.

Well, you could do an intake/battery swap or swap out your 2.5" AFM for a Supra 3" AFM.

High flo refers to the cat. Any cat with bigger inlet and outlet is considered a high flo. The insides are still the same. The bigger pipes allow a higher flow.

how bout PaceSetter

I know I know, CHEAP!!!

but I fell for it I just wanted to rid my exhaust system of 2 doughnuts between the manifold and the downpipe, cause they kept freek'n blowing out every month can't really speak too much for power or MPG gains, as my motor was on it's last leg anyhow

brand new:

30 minutes after first startup, that black coating flakes off no really, it literally FALLS OFF the header... it's so cheap...

BUT, I've giving it new life with my engine rebuild in progress; I think this should hold up a little better

Sweet.

Hey Pile how much of an improvement did the Supra upgrade give you?
Also does the AFM in the Supra need adjusting if installed in a truck with headers, cam, hi flo, K&N. Or is it just bolt on performance no matter what has been done to your engine?

Just plug and play man! I'm sure you could "play" with it like the 22R-E AFM and I'm willing to bet others have on here and have posted about it. I haven't and like what it gives me as is.

I can definately tell the difference on the interstate and off idle throttle responce is great!! Plus, you go from 2.5" intake tube to a 3". I have a Big Bore Throttle Body too. Hopefully soon I'll be doing the battery/intake swap and eliminating all that excess intake tube.

Hit up Junkers88 and Matt16 for more info and their "how to" posts 'cause that's where I pulled all the info from.

hey guys thanks for all the info but im going to put my header on hold for a wile, i figured i could use my money a little wiser. so im going to by myself some 4.88 gears and a locker. they should give me a more noticeable power gain than the header.

hey iamsuperbleeder you realy did give that header new life looks good

I like the battery/intake swap idea. Can't really understand why people like snorkels unless they cross a lot of rivers. That is such a performance downgrade.

Thanks for the input. This goes on the list of things to do whenever all the trucks' needs are taken care of. For now smog is 1st.
The guy at the test only place wouldn't even hook up his machine because of the high idle, old age and header without visible C.A.R.B. tag.
Now I have to go did up my header paperwork. Nobody ever gave me any problems before with this header. This guy thought I was a set-up vehicle intending to do him in.
At least he didn't fail me.

Ah, ok. Well, gears and lockers are definately the way to go for, IMHO, substantial performance upgrades from OEM. I loved my truck stock, but when I put the LSD in the back it was a night and day anyroad difference.

I say good choice and hey now you should, I'd hope, know what do about your exhaust when the time comes!!

Don't know about down grade, but if you do it right it's a fine addition to the complete(one can only hope!! LOL!) setup.

It seems the exact opposite of shortening and/or enlarging the intake pipe.

If I were to run a race but had to wear a snorkel I think I'd come in last. Unless theres a deep river crossing before the finish.

Just my opinion.
