To get the bolts out of the Crossover you need this wrench http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=1011 (well, probably any swivel head ratchet would help, but the bend in the handle of this one is in exactly the right place!)
As others have hinted, to remove the driver's side head you must also disconnect the exhaust downpipe from the driver's side exh manifold (the exh manifold comes out with the head). That's where you will be lying under the truck with a fil of extensions; the only way I could reach the nuts on that flange was from 36" away.

well i finally got it.. after hours of swearing i thought "why dont i just unbolt the manifolds for the hell of it to see i can maneuver them to get clearance?" This is when i learned that the studs from the exhaust manifold thread right out, allowing the head to slide off without a problem. All this wasted time... but the heads are finally off, im calling machine shops now. woo!
