Half shaft ripped out.. again. Need spacers.
I purchased my yota from a guy trying to turn it into a pre runner. He had the front dif/half shafts off and put on aftermarket a arms. Last week I finally got to take it out and as soon as I got to the mud my halfshaft broke. I took it back thinking it was just a bum shaft and got a new one. Spent the past two days getting it ready for the mud tomorrow and took it out tonight to test to make sure everything was working... Flexed out crawling over some bumps and the halfshaft ripped apart, turns out the a arms are extended and I need spacers. Anyone know where I can find some good ones? I have no means of fabbing my own

Yeah they are too short, my buddy I was with at the time suggested a spacer that goes between the halfshaft and diff. I've got a warranty on the halfshafts I have now so I can take them back whenever they break, so if I can avoid it I'd prefer to keep these ones.

I don't believe there are any spacers for that connection. Are you buying shafts for your application, or t100 shafts for the long travel arms?
If you want, tomorrow I'll get a measurement of the stock lower arms and you can compare it to the length of your extended arms to rule out the possibility of you having the oddball Downey LT kit.

I just want to point out that most of the autoparts stores will accept returns for the "wrong part", you might have to pay a restocking fee but doubt it'll be more than sourceing or custom fabbed spacers. Just clean it all up and shove it back in the original packaging and swap them out for the t100 sized ones, can't hurt much to try.

I'll measure the a arms and take some pictures, hopefully someone can identify them for me. I'll do it in the afternoon tomorrow, I'd say morning... But I'm pretty drunk.

Just a update.. Went out to my truck this morning to find a liquid covering the ground under it... I also pulled my axle apart on my driver side as well as ripping the halfshaft apart on my passenger side. Pictures and measurements incoming

My lower arm measures about 15" from alignment bolt to ball joint castle nut. Sounds like you need t100 shafts, hopefully they're not actually too long with that custom diff drop(the red crossmember/anchor).

That looks like an old total chaos kit. T100 shafts SHOULD work The TC LT kits for that truck are 3.25 extended on each side.
You should just call the guy you got it from and figure out what exactly has been done to the truck.
That cross member kinda reminds me of how someone explained one of the old rancho kits to me but I have never seen one.
Hopefully that is not one of the first TC kits because they had a lot of problems with the torsion bar mounts ripping off the UCA. They fixed it later though.
on the plus side you could throw a coilover in there if you wanted to I think. And you should be able to get 12 or 13" of travel

I've tried getting ahold of him to no avail. I'm going to take back the broken one here in a week or so, as to not raise to many eye brows since I just returned it four days ago then try to swap both out for t100 shafts at a different store and just tell them I got the wrong ones. Anyways, I haven't taken it apart yet, saving it for after work this week, but in the second picture you can see the part of the axle the connects to the half shaft separated from the rest and is now leaking gear oil. Am I totally gummy beared or should this be a easy fix?

Are you installing the shafts yourself or are you getting the entire t100 unit? The outer CV is a pain to change... stupid internal snap ring...
I Think that whole shaft is held in by a snap ring and that you can just slide it back in.. I have only ever dealt with the short halfshaft on the passenger side though. Im not 100% on how that side is put together
see if you can find a parts diagram with an exploded view
Oh and I would stay away from spacers. I wouldnt mess with changing the pivot location of that inner cv in relation to the A arm brackets.
