Got nothing but time, paint, and parts
While I'm waiting for the first paycheck from the new job so I can order up the new timing stuff....I thought I'd clean things up a bit. Starting with the steel tube going from the turbo, across the front of the valve cover to the throttle body. it had some surface rust on it, and just generally looked like crap. So I bought some Ford Red high temp engine paint, wire brushed the rust off, sanded it smooth, and painted it.
It turned out so nice (haven't taken a pic...maybe later) that I thought I'd do the same to the valve cover. The valve cover gasket was pretty crusty, and had been leaking for some time, so things were pretty grimey.
Here's how it turned out. top pic was just a reference pic so I could remember where the brackets and such went back on it. I had already done quite a bit of cleaning before that....
