Got my custom sliders put on - pictures!
My local 4wheeling dealer, FAO, set me up with a great guy who fabbed these up and installed them for me. He did a great job! I had them based off sort of an all pro look, not as extreme of a bend in the back though.

nice but is the weld on the frame vertical? I dont think that is recommended.
Pretty sure it can cause a weak spot that runs directly along the stress direction.
Last set I did for a friend we put a diamond shaped plate on the mount and welded the diamond plate to the frame so the weld was diagonal. just a thought, keep an eye on it.

Those things really do look nice. Whoever made them for you did an awsome job on the fab. I would agree for a 3rd motion on the gussets for the weld on of the sliders. You can't ever have enough support for something that is going to take a beating on the trails.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep an eye on them and if I see any weaknesess in the welding, I'll have him put some sort of gussets on their. Does anyone have pictures of an ideas for gussets?

Yeah he is, it was a guy named randy that fabbed them up for me, I don't know if you know him or not. Also I'm going to be comming to the next trail busters meeting and checking things out. I went mountain biking with Chad (cougerfreak) and he said I should check out the meeting.

"Those are clean. I'll have to remember them if/when I may want to get them installed on the truck that I have yet to buy."
If you want I can give you the phone number to FAO and they can set you up with the guy that installed them.

Finally...
It's been a couple years, but after many times using these sliders, they've been holding up awesome, but they do flex a little bit under the weight of the truck. I got a welder the other day and have been trying to teach myself how to weld so I finally got around to making some gussets for the attachment of the frame Just took some quarter inch plate and cut out some pieces, welded them together then welded it on top of the square tubing. They seem pretty beefy so they should make these alot stronger! The welds aren't pretty, but I'm learnin
