Anyone here actually put on a full k&n intake system on their 22re? According to their site it only adds 5 horse power up at 5,000rpms and nothing below that. I'm not gonna spend all that money just to get nothing except for gains in a range of rpms that I never hit.

nope and never will for in my own opinion it does more harm than good. The oil that is used in the filter gets sucked in your intake causing more harm than good. just my 2 cents

lord have mercy on any 22r that hits 5k r's regularly.. i felt a little increas with my k&n but i had a weber carb so that must change the way the engine will react to a k&n

MY original tube venting back to the intake is soo bad I might as well have a velocity stack blowing out the hood! classic. Your good with whatever $5 filter you find. Let me know what and where you find it. Its just a smog piece. Your valve cover needs to breathe and the gov't wants it breathing back into the intake. F the gov't.
^^ Damn Al hittin 5k frequently!^^ You're crazy^^ Take it easy on the poor yote or just throw some boost at her! lol
