I'm replacing everything and anything while I got this thing apart. Clutch will be replaced as well, even though it shifts out ok.
I started out just doing a top end, but it's now lead to this. Being the type of person I am, I only want to fix this engine once. So, rather than having a new top end and a bottom end that has 175,000 miles on it, I've decided to bite the bullet, have it bored, all new everything going back in it, etc.

After I get the engine back in it and the clutch gone thru, I'll probably be tackling the rear end sag on it.
I plan on keeping it pretty much all stock. When I bought it, it had the plain jain steel rims on it, no inclinometer, no fancy dash, stereo, etc. I've since added all these things and the interior is now all put back together. Total of 6 speakers, two amps, one subwoofer. I like my tunes. I knew the truck was gonna be kinda of a money pit, but who cares........I can afford it. My main goal was to start with a truck that was 100% rust free. This truck is 100% rust free.
But as far as big a$$ tires, jacked up, running it thru 3 feet of mud, etc., that's just not my thing. Hauling the fishing boat around, a little light two trackin' with it, etc. is the type of duty it will be seeing. I am very easy on my toys.

Good looking truck. Paint original?
IT's not that big a deal to pull the block by itself, just be careful about how you tie it to the hoist and make sure that it's not able to invert.
