Front end options.

Picked up this 95 Pickup 22RE 2wd.

Everything has been good until yesterday.

Ball joint bracket broke in half and sent me across a few lanes of traffic.

Trying to figure out the best options.

Front outer steering arm is bent, shocks bent, lower arm is ground down a little and upper arm is slightly bent.

Im stuck between just cheap factory parts, moog parts, and possibly even long travel.

Chaos fab says it’s for 4wd only

I can get fabtech uppers for 3.5” and factory lowers pretty easy. Then all moog steering stuff.

Just looking for good options. I can do any welding and I’ll be installing it all myself.

If you want a Total Chaos long travel kit, give them a call. They don't list the kit on their site anymore but they will still make and sell you one for the 2wd pickup. Also check around Craigslist/offerup and on Facebook marketplace. Used ones pop up from time to time along with the older fabtech ivan Dan kits.

With your issue now, I would just throw a junkyard lower arm and anything else thats bent and call it good.
For it to crack like that, someone must have had a hell of a hard landing in that truck at some point. How's it lifted now? Just cranked torsion bars?

Current lift is uppers and torsions.

I emailed TC and he said they only offer the 4wd version now.

Id love one of the Ivan Dan kits. I even talked to someone at Fabtech who seemed very knowledgeable and he said the owners some took their last one about 5yrs ago.

I’ll probably end up with new fabtech uppers, new stock lowers and all new steering and ball joints from moog.

Down the line maybe 3” lift spindles so I can in crank the torsions.

New lowers are pretty cheap vs getting junkyard stuff. Moog has them on their site.

I appreciate the response.
